1
Cut It
-
Cut the plant at the base of the stem.
-
Use a sharp pair of scissors or pruning shears, and avoid touching the buds with your hands.
2
-
Remove the fan leaves and hang the plant upside down in a dark, dry, and well-ventilated area to dry until it snaps.
3
Check It
-
Use a drying rack or clothes hanger to hang the branches, and maintain a temperature of 60-70°F (15-21°C) and a humidity of 45-55%.

What You Will Need

-
Sharp trimming scissors or pruning shears.
-
Gloves (resin is sticky).
-
A clean tray or table to catch trim and buds.
Sharp, clean tools make cleaner cuts and less damage.
How To

-
Cut the plant at the base or remove individual branches, whichever fits your dry space.
-
Handle branches by the stem, not the buds, to keep trichomes intact.
You’re now committed—take your time and keep it clean.

01
What You Will Need

-
String, wire, or drying racks.
-
A dark room or tent with controlled temperature and humidity.
-
Fans for gentle air movement (not pointed directly at buds).
This is where your prep pays off.
02
How To

-
Strip off big fan leaves first to improve airflow.
-
Hang branches upside down so buds don’t touch each other too tightly.
-
Keep the room around 60–70°F and 50–60% humidity, in the dark, with only gentle air circulation.
Fast, hot drying ruins flavor; slow and steady wins here.

Functionality You Will Love
01
Maintain Temp and Humidity
During drying, keep conditions as steady as possible.
-
Too hot and dry = crispy outsides, harsh smoke.
-
Too cold and humid = risk of mold and super-slow drying.
Minor adjustments to fans or dehumidifiers are better than big swings.
02
When It’s Ready for Curing

-
After about 7–14 days, bend small stems—if they snap instead of bending, buds are usually ready for jars.
-
The outside should feel dry, but the bud shouldn’t turn to dust when lightly squeezed.
If stems are still bending and feel rubbery, give them more time to hang.
